Recently I’ve been obsessed with weaving narrow bands. I designed a tiny but functional heddle to be worn as a necklace but then I discovered they’re fantastic for weaving narrow bands too.
The heddles are just 2 inches wide and use up to 15 threads. You can make hair ties, bracelets, shoelaces, lanyards or whatever you can imagine. They come with a tiny shuttle to match.
I’ve made three designs which are scaled down and simplified versions of some of my full size heddles – rabbits, cats and horse and dog, The cat heddle is available in both light and dark versions.
Because these tiny heddles are so much fun I made a kit for sale with everything you need to start weaving bands from two prewound warps to a tiny threading hook and detailed instructions. They are an easy way to start weaving and are beginner friendly. They are very popular in my Etsy shop and I’ve received good feedback from customers.
